Finding Your Niche
Market
A common question I am often asked is -
"Can I make a living selling on eBay in just one niche market?" My answer -
"Absolutely!" However, the tricky part is finding your niche. So to help you locate
your possible niche market I have put together some tips for you to follow.
- Make a list of all the niche markets
you like. Ideally, these should be topics you are interested in, or already know something about.
- List ten products in each of these
niche markets. Do some research on eBay to help you choose niche products
that are best sellers.
- Next, locate legitimate wholesale product
suppliers for these niche products. Beside each item list the price you can
purchase the product for, and make sure to include your shipping cost.
- Find out what each of these
niche products have sold for on eBay. Log in to your account and search completed
auctions for your items, or items similar to yours. Here you'll find
auctions that have ended and what the final selling price was.
- Now analyze your research. Does one
niche market, or niche products stand out as having potential
for making money on eBay? If yes - You've found your niche market.
- Next re-evaluate your results. Make
sure you check for any margin of error. If you're not happy with the
results, review other niche markets using my tips above.
